Dear Parishioners,
In just over a week now, specifically on Monday, June 4th, St. Joseph’s Parish will begin its summer enhancement project. The project is expected to last six to seven weeks with the expectation of being back in the church for weekend Mass on July 27th/28th. Weekend & daily Mass during this time will be celebrated in our school gym. Mass times will remain the same. 
Due to the construction and contractors coming in and out of the church and O’Neill Hall, the normal south and north entrances of the church will be closed off. The new main entrance into the school and parish offices will be the main south doors of the school (door #1). For weekend and daily Mass, the grey back double doors of the gym will also be open for entrance. 
Because of the construction, I thought it would be good to address some logistic changes that will occur during this time, particularly as it affects different ministries.

Eucharistic Adoration
There will be no adoration during this time except on Saturdays before our evening Mass, from 3:30-4:45 p.m. in the school gym. All are invited to come and spend time with Jesus while he is present on the altar in the Blessed Sacrament. Please also know that one is able to visit the Blessed Sacrament at the hospital chapel.
Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion
Six ministers of Holy Communion will be needed at each weekend Mass. No precious blood will be distributed during this time. The six stations for distributing will be visibly marked off on the gym floor.
Greeters
The greeters will be stationed at two locations, one station near the south front doors of the school entrance and the other near the north back entrance of the gym. Bulletins will be on the table for you to hand out as people leave Mass.
Ushers
Because of the two entrances used to access the gym, please see to it that two ushers be stationed near the front of the gym and two be stationed near the back. This will allow you to assist anyone who might need help for some matter. The policy for securing the collection will continue as normal.
Confessions
Confessions will continue to be heard in our normal confessionals. Confession times will also remain the same. The confessional line will begin right outside our parish office in the school hallway.
SCRIP
There will be a table located near the south main entrance of the school near the school office where you will be able to continue to purchase SCRIP after Mass.

Bathrooms
Because our church bathrooms are also being updated, we will be using the school bathrooms during our enhancement project. They are located directly to your left as you immediately enter the main entrance of the school.
