Preparation
Faith formation classes are required to receive Confirmation. Preparation for Confirmation happens in 8th grade. It is required that any youth receiving confirmation attend the week-long Cor Christi Institute in Bismarck that takes place in July. When is Confirmation Celebrated?
Confirmation at St. Joseph’s normally takes place in the fall of freshman year of high school.

Who can be a Sponsor?
One sponsor is required for Confirmation. The requirements of the sponsor, as also seen at in the attachment Confirmation Handbook above, are as follows:
While not necessary, it is encouraged that one's baptismal sponsor also serve as the Confirmation sponsor.
