If you are contemplating marriage, congratulations!! Here are some guidelines to begin the process.
Note: Before scheduling your wedding at a parish, if either party (Catholic or non-Catholic) has a prior attempt at marriage which has not been dissolved through death or through receiving a Document of Freedom to Marry, please contact the Tribunal Office at the Diocese of Bismarck, 701-204-7203, before contacting the church.
Nine to Twelve Months Prior to Wedding Date:
Pray and enjoy quiet moments together. Make God an integral part of your relationship and ask Him to grant you many graces as a couple. Thank Him for the gift of one another.
Meet with the priest who is preparing you for marriage. At this first meeting, the priest will inform you of the requirements for marriage preparation at St. Joseph’s Parish. Along with meetings with the priest, you will be required to take a full course of Natural Family Planning and attend a pre-marriage weekend. We are confident that you will find each of these rewarding for your relationship as many couples tell us over and again.
Call the parish office at 701-572-6731 to schedule a meeting.
